Students of St. Augustine Catholic Elementary School gathered this past Thursday to not just say the Rosary together, but to be the Rosary!
A living Rosary assigns each “bead” to a student. The gr. 7s and 8s, paired with a kindergartner, form the shape of the rosary around the the student body, and then recite the rosary, each student/bead pair taking a turn in order. The whole of this great prayer of the church took the same time to recite as it would if recited conventionally.
Fr. Scott Whitfield was present as a participant, and to offer a closing prayer and benediction to the gathered students and teachers of one of our two elementary schools in the parish.
