St. Augustine’s younger set are heading back in time. Raylene D’Amore, one of our parish catechists, is guiding a group of our younger parishioners in a bit of time travel, helping them set the stories and personalities they learn about in their proper place in history.
“The who, what, when and where of scripture is confusing for most of us,” Fr. Scott Whitfield said. “I know I need to pull down my reference books pretty regularly to make certain I’ve got it right when I find myself commenting in a homily on one of the prophets. So much of the meaning of what they are saying comes from the context in which they are prophesying.”
The group is meeting Tuesdays after school hours, in the Parish Centre.
